Meet the first piece of my newest collection, the “Body Talk” earrings. I made these earrings to mark the year anniversary of being diagnosed with ovarian tumors. In March of 2017 I underwent surgery that left me a 6” scar across my abdomen that took me a while to look at with love. These earrings help me celebrate the beauty in the scars on my body. These earrings, like my scar, tell a story of survival and perseverance. They are a reminder that all bodies are beautiful. That all bodies deserve to have their stories told. That talk of our bodies - flaws and all- does not have to include shame or judgement.
