When I was 19 I had surgery to remove 3 benign ovarian tumors, but I still had severe chronic pain for years. When I was 29, I had 3 more tumors removed. I had two large scars & pain that got even got worse.
At 33 I had surgery to diagnose & treat endometriosis, but in the 14 years I waited to be diagnosed, the damage from endometriosis was so severe that I needed a complete hysterectomy.
Years of suffering led to immense pelvic & vaginal pain from dysfunction/spasms. Not only was my vagina constantly painful, but at 33 I was menopausal & had lost bladder/bowel control. I had numbness from the removal of my cervix and couldn't feel half of my vagina.
I went to Pelvic Floor Therapy where my doctor used internal massage to help me slowly regain feeling, as well as full bladder & bowel control. PFT treatment saved the quality of my life and helped me heal my medical PTSD.

I created Body Talk Jewelry to start a conversation around the very thing we are told to keep quiet about - our bodies & how we heal them.
